New Resource - Student Alpha Prezi Presentations
So I am sitting here at the first night of the Central London Student Alpha Course waiting for the guests to arrive. We've set out the groups, put up festoon lighting, checked the sound and just finished testing the new media to go with the talks.
Many of you have asked about how the media worked last year for the filming and the simple answer is it was really complicated, and collectively aged the team around 7.5 years.
After deciding to make life easy on ourselves we were about to start creating PowerPoints when someone sent us a link to Prezi.com
Prezi is a brand new way of presenting your media and best of all it's free (well you can use it and distribute it for free, to go pro costs $54 dollars with an educational discount but it's well worth it). It runs on Mac and PC and is probably one of the most innovative programs I've seen in recent years.
To learn more about Prezi check out the presentation below (click on the right arrow to load then press 'More' then 'Fullscreen' for best effect):
As you know Student Alpha has been Squashed, (into 7 Weeks) Squeezed (into 30 minute talks) and Spiced (with Multimedia Elements). Now you can Spice up your talks with all the Media that we could get our grubby little hands on.
We have created a 'Prezi' presentation for each of the talks on Student Alpha. The presentations contain all the media you need and follow the Student Alpha Scripts that are now avaliable to download. You can preview each Prezi on the site and download them to run them offline during your talk. You can find all the Student Alpha Prezi's here.
You can access the full list of Student Alpha Prezi's from the Media Menu or by clicking here.
Hope you like it spicy...
