Student Alpha

So, you’ve planned your course, trained the team and prayed for revival; now all you need is for some guests to come! There are all kinds of ways you can advertise your Student Alpha course: flyers, posters, online, Facebook … but time and again our experience has shown that most people come because a friend asked them to.

A personal invite. Nothing beats it! Which is why we’ve made these folding business cards with all the info about the course and location on them, which you can edit, print and then give out to your friends, inviting them to your course.

The invites work well combined with a launch party. The launch party is a brilliant way to introduce your friends to Student Alpha. The night is a relaxed ‘just see what you think’ taster event, giving guests an idea of what the course will be like. There’s also a short talk, given with the aim of stirring up questions that the course will seek to answer.

One way we raised the profile of our launch night last year was, a week before the party, to get everyone who was involved with the course to change their Facebook profile picture to a copy of the invite.
